Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. You will coordinate daily activities, ensure patient safety, and manage clerical duties related to imaging exams.

You will be responsible for preparing and administering contrast media, confirming patient identity, and consulting with radiologists to optimize image quality while adhering to radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program registered by ARRT.
• If a New Graduate, registry eligible and must be registered within 1 year of hire date.
• 1 year of direct patient care work experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist.
• Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and clerical duties.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
