Job summary

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital in Wayne, MI is seeking an Advanced Imaging Assistant to support the MRI department under direct supervision. Responsibilities include assisting the Technologist and following Imaging policies to ensure patient-centered care.

The role is part-time with variable hours and weekend coverage, focusing on patient care and teamwork in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant patient care experience preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required upon hire (AHA) or ARC.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist the Imaging Technologist as needed.
• Follow established Imaging department policies and procedures.
• Provide courteous, effective communication with patients and staff.

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital opened its doors to western Wayne communities in 1957. This full-service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients.

Scope of Work

Under direct supervision the Advanced Imaging Assistant supports and assists the Technologist as needed following the established policies and procedures within the Imaging environment. Responsible for performing a wide range of duties as assigned by the Imaging department. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience 2 years' patient care experience. Preferred
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
