Job summary

Socorro Consolidated Schools in Socorro, NM is seeking an IEP Coordinator to lead the IEP process within assigned school settings and to schedule and conduct IEP and Manifestation Determination meetings. The role ensures that all paperwork is completed on time with full parental and student participation, while maintaining compliance with federal and state laws and district policies.

Under the supervision of the Director of Special Education, you will train school staff on IEP requirements,

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate the IEP process in assigned school settings, scheduling IEP and Manifestation Determination meetings and ensuring on-time paperwork with full participation from parents and students.
• Inform the Director of Special Education of issues and patterns that may require policy or program adjustments to meet IEP needs.
• Support SAT teams and special education staff with appropriate interventions and documentation.
• Collaborate with the Director and school leaders to identify and provide required in-service training for staff.
• Provide leadership in developing coordinated staff development to meet identified needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
