Job summary

Camino Nuevo Charter Academy seeks a Special Education Compliance Coordinator to ensure IEP fidelity and regulatory compliance. Under the Principal's supervision, you will partner with site administration, teachers, and district leaders to monitor services and implement state and federal requirements.

This full-time role emphasizes collaboration, process improvement, and timely reporting, with responsibilities from attending IEP meetings to coordinating SST and SELPA activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s or higher preferred.
• State Board Certification/Licensing and/or a California Education Specialist Credential required.
• At least four years of special education experience in a public-school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of PK-12 instructional frameworks and a range of Special Education program models.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and project management skills.
• Ability to work with students and staff to motivate positively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Administrative Designee for IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with and supervise IEP Clerk in consultation with the Principal and HSO Special Education Team.
• Develop and monitor structures for ongoing engagement meetings for parents and school leadership so parents are true partners in their children’s education.
• Co‑facilitate the SST training to site staff.
• Coordinate service requests stemming from SSTs.
• Coordinate and implement SELPA requirements including consent decree requirements.
