Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• New Mexico Special Education License required
• NM Level III licensure preferred
• Experience working with students, families, and staff to develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
• Ability to develop a variety of IEP to address: Child Find, Part C to B transitions, elementary to middle school, and high school with post high school transition
• Clear understanding of IDEA regulations, their application, and ability to relate information and program placement to stakeholders
• Ability to conduct IEP meetings in a professional, collaborative, positive, and timely manner
• Be able and willing to resolve problems that arise
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective organization skills with acute attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in restricting access to student records and sensitive information
• Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements noted on job description
