• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities; implements the IEP; and uses diagnostic information to update IEPs as needed.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools to provide specially designed instruction.
• Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and meeting IEP goals.
• Employs varied teaching methods and accommodations to meet student needs; adapts materials as needed.
• Monitors student behavior; maintains classroom discipline; teaches behavioral strategies.
• Evaluates student work and adjusts instruction; coordinates progress report grades and report cards.
• Attends IEP meetings and collaborates with team members.
• Stays current on best practices by attending professional development and collaborating with others.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
