Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Case Preparatory Academy in Akron to support students with IEP goals and to promote rigorous, nurturing classroom environments.

You will collaborate with teachers, conduct diagnostic and function behavior assessments, write behavior and IEP goals, lead IEP meetings, and communicate regularly with families to track academic and social-emotional progress.

Qualifications

• Current state teaching license required.
• Experience with inclusion or co-teaching models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and modify curriculum as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior plans.
• Lead IEP meetings and write goals and objectives.
• Support student achievement and school culture through data-driven planning.
• Communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
