Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for Cleveland Arts & Social Sciences Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. The role focuses on supporting students with IEPs and promoting inclusive education through co-teaching and targeted intervention strategies.

You will conduct assessments, write behavior plans, participate in IEP meetings, and collaborate with teachers and families to boost student achievement and social-emotional growth.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion or co-teaching in a resource room.
• Comfortable with growth-focused coaching and frequent observations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and behavioral goals for all students with an IEP focus.
• Collaborate with teachers, modify curricula, and assist in classrooms.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives.
• Communicate with families about student growth.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities.
