Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, seeks a Program Director for IDD Services in Nevada to oversee several community programs and ensure high-quality supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and person-centered planning.

Travel to Reno, NV is required; the compensation aligns with non-profit/human services standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community, including direct supports, planning, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, staffing, training, safety, and facility upkeep.
Manage program staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
Make recommendations on hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.
Oversee program planning and monitor service delivery to ensure services are engaging and relevant.
Be available on-call to support staff, arrange coverage, or cover shifts as needed.
