The position emphasizes ensuring service quality, planning and goal development, and strong customer service, with focus on staff supervision, safety, and regulatory compliance across state requirements.

Qualifications

• NC: Bachelor in human services with 2 years full-time experience, or non-human field with 4 years, or Master in human services with 1 year.
• VA: supervision of developmental services shall be provided by a person with at least one year of documented experience and a bachelor’s in a human services field.
• QDDP: at least one year of direct experience with individuals with developmental disabilities; and holds a bachelor’s in a human services field or related credential.
• 12 Va. Admin. Code § 30-122-20.
• FL: Degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create individualized supervision plans for staff and update as needed.
• Provide regular, face-to-face supervision per plans.
• Ensure staff are trained in person-specific competencies.
• Evaluate performance and provide coaching or disciplinary action.
• Coordinate service delivery with persons served, families, and staff.
• Ensure staff qualifications are current to provide services.
• Approve time documented for payroll and monitor hours.
