Job summary

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, greeting patients and families, managing central station information, and updating the EMR for admissions, discharges, and transfers. 2-3 years healthcare admin experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Unit Coordinator Certification preferred.
• 2-3 years administrative support experience in healthcare.
• Proficiency with MS Office; ability to manage information and communications.
• Ability to proofread and edit documents.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties to assist in general administration of the floor or unit.
• Greet patients, families, visitors and coworkers professionally.
• Receives, prioritizes, organizes and manages information at the central nursing station.
• Enters admissions, discharges and transfers into electronic medical records accurately.
• Coordinates with ancillary service departments to obtain equipment, services and supplies.
