Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL seeks a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Day Shift in the ICU. This 12-week assignment offers a 0.9 full-time equivalent (FTE) role with a $60.00 per hour flat rate.

The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with physicians, educate patients and families, and maintain confidentiality while meeting ICU standards. BLS and ACLS are required; critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct patient care within the ICU scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition, diagnostic results, and treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
