Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL seeks a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night Shift in the ICU. This 12-week assignment (full-time .9) offers $60.00 per hour and focuses on critical care delivery to ICU patients, using nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

The role requires current RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and ICU experience; CC RN and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate required.
• ACLS certificate required.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the ICU.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physician; document diagnostic results and symptomatology.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
