Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Olympia Fields, IL is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry RN for the ICU on the Day Shift. The assignment is 12 weeks with potential extension, and compensation is $60.00 per hour (flat rate).

The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, supervise and mentor staff, and partner with physicians to respond to changes in patient condition, while protecting patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in the ICU.
• Direct patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, hemodynamic monitoring, and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
