Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, Illinois is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU, including MICU and Neuro ICU cross-trained to CVICU. The role covers night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with direct patient care and adherence to the nursing process across complex critical care patients.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates, a competitive hourly wage in the $35.70–$54.11 range, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of the Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within ICU scope and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
