Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is seeking an ICU RN to provide high-level monitoring and autonomous patient care. The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to perform assessments and manage care within a collaborative team.

You will work nights with rotating weekends in a Level II Trauma Center offering a comprehensive cardiovascular program and specialized imaging services. A supportive environment emphasizes patient education and family involvement during the hospital stay.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of ICU RN experience in acute care required.
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree; BSN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start.
• ACLS provider card within 6 months of employment start date.
• PALS or PALS Instructor within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data relevant to patient health and situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Use clinical judgment to deliver safe and effective patient care.
• Monitor vital signs to identify and respond to life-threatening situations.
• Educate patients and families about medications, procedures and treatments during the stay.
