Job summary

Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit. The role requires 3x12 hour shifts (7:00am-7:00pm) on days with rotating weekends and a strong emphasis on advanced patient care and critical thinking.

Graduation from an approved nursing program and active Florida RN licensure with BLS are required; ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be needed for certain areas. ICU experience is highly preferred and patient safety is paramount.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Must maintain Florida RN licensure (or NLC).
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required for some units.
• Minimum 1 year ICU RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced patient care in an ICU setting with high acuity.
• Monitor and respond to patient condition changes and alarms.
• Document care accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop care plans.
• Support patient and family needs and ensure safety.
• Demonstrate evidence-based practice and nursing competencies.
• Mentor or precept junior staff as needed.
• Maintain regulatory and unit-specific standards.
