Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) and BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies, high intensity interventions, and high-level continuous nursing vigilance.
• Monitors and interprets equipment and medical devices, including monitors and ventilators.
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
• Develops and revises an individualized plan of care and evaluates patient progress.
• Delegates tasks to healthcare team members and coordinates care among the unit staff.
• Maintains an advocate role for patients and families and ensures quality care.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
