Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville seeks a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Department. The RN will assess and coordinate care in CCU/ICU, respond to Code Blue, manage patient flow, and educate patients and families on treatment plans.

Requirements include ADN or higher, Florida RN license or Compact license, BLS and ACLS, and 1+ year acute care experience. This is a full-time night-shift position with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: ADN or higher.
• Licensed RN in the practicing state or Compact/Multi-State license.
• Current BLS provider; ACLS certification is required.
• At least 1 year of Acute Care/Hospital RN experience.
• Experience with critical illness, vent management, and cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and coordinate care in CCU/ICU.
• Respond to Code Blue and initiate appropriate protocols.
• Manage patient flow, exams, admissions and testing logistics.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and care plans.
• Maintain patient records with tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Monitor rooms for supplies and respond to calls.
