Job summary
Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, seeks an ICU Registered Nurse for night shifts. The role offers a $20,000 commitment bonus for a two-year commitment and rotating weekends to support staffing needs.
You will deliver high-quality critical care, coordinate with physicians and care teams, and participate in ongoing education. You will hold an RN license in Kentucky with BCLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Current RN license in state of practice.
- Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required.
- BCLS required.
- ACLS and PALS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process and standards of practice.
- Performs plan of care interventions including medications, specimens, treatments and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided and monitors patient conditions.
- Communicates patient status to the care team, physicians, patients and families.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living and coordinates transfers/discharges.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education; contributes to care across shifts as needed.
