Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, seeks an ICU Registered Nurse for night shifts. The role offers a $20,000 commitment bonus for a two-year commitment and rotating weekends to support staffing needs.

You will deliver high-quality critical care, coordinate with physicians and care teams, and participate in ongoing education. You will hold an RN license in Kentucky with BCLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions including medications, specimens, treatments and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided and monitors patient conditions.
• Communicates patient status to the care team, physicians, patients and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and coordinates transfers/discharges.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education; contributes to care across shifts as needed.
