Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro ICU, nights, with a 2-year commitment and a $20,000 bonus. The role involves direct ICU nursing care, documentation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will participate in ongoing education, performance improvement, and flexible scheduling while delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill adults in the ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice (Kentucky).
• Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required; update if relocating.
• BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process.
• Perform plan of care interventions including medications and treatments.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to care team and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborate across disciplines for transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Educate patients and families as appropriate.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality care with flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance.
