Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ICU team in Somerset, KY. This full-time role includes rotating weekends and a 6:30/7:00 shift schedule, with a $15,000 commitment bonus over two years.

You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality outcomes. Ideal candidates hold an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), an active RN license in Kentucky,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Active Kentucky license (single state or compact) required.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS
• PALS
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned.
