Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for night shift. This full-time role includes a $20,000 commitment bonus with a two-year commitment and rotating weekends.

The RN will provide direct ICU care, support patient education, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes. Requirements include an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred) and an active Kentucky RN license (compact accepted).

Qualifications

• Assists with ICU patient care and uses established nursing process.
• Maintains nursing care documentation and patient records.
• Requires current RN license and Kentucky licensure (compact allowed).
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process.
• Executes plan of care including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collaborates across disciplines for transfers, discharges and referrals.
• Educates patients and families about care needs.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
