Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time ICU nurse to join the Critical Care: ICU department. 24 hours per week with day shifts 07:00–19:30 and rotating weekends/holidays. Training available for ICU within 6 months if no prior ICU experience.

Eligible benefits, base and incentive compensation, and extensive nursing resources accompany this role. Must hold RN licensure and BLS; BSN preferred for preferred status and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical nursing, 1 year typical.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives.
• Use nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose and evaluate care.
• Monitor patients, adjust care plans and collaborate with team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and accurate documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
