Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring an RN for the Intensive Care Unit at RWJUH Hamilton Hospital in New Jersey. The role requires NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and 1–2 years ICU experience.

The position is full-time, day shift, with rotating weekends and holidays, and pays $48.29–$65.06 per hour. You will assess patients, administer treatments, document in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure high-quality care and safety.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS and PALS.
• ASN or Nursing Diploma; BSN strongly preferred.
• 1–2 years of Acute Care ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene early and advocate for patients.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately for care transitions.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and effective team communication.
• Support ongoing professional growth through education and ladder opportunities.
