Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated RN for the ICU at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. This per diem day shift role supports a high-acuity ICU with a fast-paced, collaborative team focused on safe, evidence-based patient care.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, educate families, and document meticulously in EPIC. A NJ RN license and BLS are required; Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred with CCRN encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey RN license and current BLS.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; CCRN certification encouraged.
• Experience in ICU critical care and EPIC EMR systems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding of care plans.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in rounds and interdisciplinary teamwork to improve outcomes.
