Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks an RN PCCU - Medical ICU (Open Heart Surgery and Neurosurgery Pods) in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with 7am-7:30pm shifts and rotated weekends/holidays.

You will develop care plans, assess patients, communicate with families and the care team, and support wound/ostomy care when needed. Strong nursing licensure in IL and ACLS/BLS are required; ICU or radiology nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if ADN, must complete BSN within five years of start date.
• Active Illinois State Nursing License; ACLS and BLS required.
• 1 year of inpatient nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care to achieve expected outcomes and reevaluates as needed.
• Provides patient assessment and health data collection.
• Communicates plan of care to patient, family, and team.
• Educates patient and family based on learning needs and cultural background.
• Collaborates with colleagues and delegates tasks as appropriate.
• Supports a compassionate environment and assists with procedures and medications.
• Participates in performance improvement and evidence-based practice.
