Job summary

Endeavor Health's Elmhurst Main Hospital is seeking an RN PCCU for the Medical ICU (Open Heart Surgery and Neurosurgery Pods). This full-time role requires 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, and every third weekend plus rotating holidays.

You will develop and evaluate care plans, perform patient assessments, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and educate patients and families, delivering evidence-based nursing care.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if only an ADN, must complete BSN within five years.
• Active Illinois State Nursing License required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care with interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Assesses patient health data and communicates with patient, family and care team.
• Provides patient/family teaching tailored to learning needs and cultural background.
• Participates in performance improvement and evidence-based practice.
