Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Staff Nurse for the PCCU Medical ICU. This full-time night shift role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or higher, IL licensure, ACLS and BLS, and inpatient experience is preferred. This position offers comprehensive benefits and premium pay options.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing required.
• If holding an ADN, must graduate with a BSN within five years of start date.
• Active Illinois State Nursing License held at start date.
• ACLS required; BLS/CPR required.
• 1 year inpatient nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care with interventions to meet outcomes.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises diagnoses as needed.
• Assesses patient data and collects health information from patient and family.
• Communicates care plan to patient and family, respecting preferences.
• Transmits patient data to physicians and the interprofessional team.
• Documents health data, interventions, and communications.
• Educates patient/family based on learning needs and cultural background.
• Delivers wound/ostomy/skin care teaching when appropriate.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and nursing research.
• Supports staff and participates in daily rounds of wound/ostomy care if skilled.
• Complies with HIPAA and assists in transporting acutely ill patients.
