Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care Unit to uphold our mission of extending God’s care through physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The RN will educate patients and families, develop care plans, mentor staff, and ensure high standards of nursing practice in a fast-paced, night-shift ICU. Maryland license, NCLEX, BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required, and 36-hour/week schedule with three 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX is required.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as a role model to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Use equipment correctly and delegate non-nursing duties appropriately.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounds from patient and family perspective.
