UMass Memorial Health’s Patient Care Tech III role supports licensed clinicians in providing compassionate patient care across units such as critical care and telemetry. The position emphasizes safety, communication, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Night shifts, weekend rotation, and opportunities for signing bonuses may apply. The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of acute care or EMT experience.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrated competency in PCT II level or 1 year of acute care/hospital experience or 1 year of EMT Paramedic experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work under stress.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care under direction of licensed clinicians to meet personal needs and comfort.
• Maintain patient safety with regular checks and de-escalation strategies.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Record vital signs, intake, outputs, and nutrition.
• Perform phlebotomy in certain locations and monitor telemetry as assigned.
• Support unit routines, equipment checks, and supply replenishment.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, including equipment setup and sterile technique.
