Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees is seeking a Patient Care Technician for ICU coverage on the day shift. This per diem role supports the nursing team by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patients, and performing selected technical tasks under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCT course or related program, and BLS certification. Phlebotomy training is preferred for ED settings. Comprehensive benefits apply to this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PCT course or RN program fundamentals useful.
• Certified Nursing Assistant experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living under RN/LPN direction.
• Performs vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley care as assigned.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Reinforces education for patient and family about care needs.
• Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives and performance improvement.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
