Job summary

Virtua Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician for Med Surg/Infectious Disease at Mount Holly (175 Madison Avenue). This per diem night-shift role supports RN/LPN with activities of daily living and clinical tasks in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, Foley care, and potential phlebotomy or EKG duties if certified. BLS required; high school diploma and completion of a PCT/CNA/RN fundamentals program or equivalent experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completed a PCT course, CNA program, RN fundamentals course, or at least 1 year of direct patient care.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and plan of care under RN/LPN.
• Perform vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, and Foley catheter care as applicable.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Document changes in patient status and communicate with healthcare team.
• Support patient education and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
