Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time patient care assistant to support daily living activities and collaborate with the care team. You will help with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and safe patient handling at a Magnet-recognized health system.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and completion of a PCT or CNA program, with BLS and possible phlebotomy/EKG duties. Willingness to learn and support patient safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates basic patient care skills and procedures.
• Strong communication with patients, families and team.
• Education and training meet CNA/PCT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support mobility, transport and isolation precautions as directed.
• Take vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning and Foley care as applicable.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified and report changes to RN/LPN.
• Reinforce patient education and participate in quality initiatives.
• Assist in orientation of new hires.
