Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health’s Jersey City Medical Center seeks an Asst Director of Patient Care (RN) for the ICU. This night-shift, full-time leadership role oversees nursing operations and patient flow in the Intensive Care Unit, reporting to the Director with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care.

Required RN/BSN with MSN preferred; LPNs and nurses must maintain NJ RN licensure, BLS at hire and ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN/BSN required, MSN preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Must complete a minimum of 8 hours per year of professional development focused on hospital wide leadership issues.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Director of Patient Care works with the Director to manage the department and ensure adherence to goals and policies.
• Supports mission, vision and values; serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff.
