Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 5 years' experience within MedSurg specialty.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the acute care setting within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Direct and supervise all functions and activities in a patient care setting.
• Perform duties in any nursing capacity as needed.
• Ensure safety in practice by maintaining knowledge and advancing knowledge of self and others on the patient care team.
• Utilize the nursing process to individualize the plan of care for patients.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate personnel and evaluate performance.
• Exercise supervisory authority in assigning staff labor.
