Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Nursing Education Specialist to implement and evaluate education plans aligned with organizational goals. The role emphasizes collaboration with operational leaders and staff to deliver evidence-based nursing education and professional development initiatives across facilities.

The position supports Magnet and Pathways to Excellence goals through robust learning design, competency assessment, and ongoing performance monitoring of nursing programs.

Qualifications

• 4 year BSN nursing degree required.
• Graduate degree (MSN or higher) preferred.
• Specialty in Nursing or Education.
• Registered Nurse from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Implement system nursing education and professional development programs across departments.
• Apply nursing process and adult learning theories to program design and delivery.
• Coach/mentor staff in education and development initiatives.
• Incorporate learning design and technology to create effective learning experiences and competency validation.
• Model organizational mission and values in all educational activities.
• Collaborate with leadership to address educational needs and improve outcomes.
