Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Nursing Professional Development educator to lead the implementation and evaluation of education plans within the system. You will collaborate with market and system nurse executives to deliver programs such as orientation, RN residency, and preceptor development, while supporting evidence-based practice and nursing research initiatives.

This role focuses on adult learning, competency validation, and alignment with regulatory standards,

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Inter-personal communication style that supports a learner-centered environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and clinical information systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Nursing Professional Development Practice Model and education concepts for adult learning.

Responsibilities

• Implement system nursing education and professional development programs and support EBP and nursing research.
• Lead orientation, RN Residency and preceptor programs across departments.
• Apply nursing process and adult learning theories to design and deliver education programs.
• Provide staff education, preceptor support and coaching/mentoring.
• Incorporate learning design and learning technology for competency assessment and regulatory validation.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement clinical education and professional development initiatives.
