Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Nursing Education Specialist to implement and evaluate education plans across assigned facilities. You will collaborate with market leaders to drive educational initiatives, support evidence-based practice, and advance the Nursing Excellence journey toward Magnet status.

The role focuses on orientation, RN Residency, preceptor development, and leveraging learning design to meet performance indicators and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 4 year/Bachelors Degree in Nursing required.
• Graduate degree (Masters) preferred.
• Licensure as Registered Nurse from an accredited program.
• 3 years clinical experience with 2 years leadership or program work.
• Knowledge of ANCC Magnet/Pathways requirements preferred.
• Strong written/verbal communication; MS Office and clinical systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Implement system nursing education and professional development programs across departments.
• Support orientation, RN Residency, preceptor programs and evidence-based practice.
• Coach/mentor staff education and leadership in assigned units.
• Apply adult learning theory and learning design for competency validation.
• Monitor and report on program outcomes (outcomes, HCAHPS, etc.).
• Collaborate with leaders to align education with regulatory standards.
