Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a nursing assistant for the Lakeland Critical Care unit. The role supports daily patient care under RN supervision, with emphasis on safety, accurate documentation, and timely communication of patient needs.

The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, two twelve-hour shifts, with benefits eligibility. Requires BLS, Nurse Aide in good standing, and a GED/HSED or high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation, positioning).
• Record vitals and patient data in EMR; communicate observations to RN.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes; prepare room and belongings.
• Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care testing as directed.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of nursing area; handle equipment and transport as needed.
