Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the Pediatric ICU. The role is 0.6 FTE with a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM and alternating weekends. You will assist with daily patient care, document in the EMR, and support admission through discharge under RN supervision.

The position requires GED/HSED or HS diploma, basic computer skills, and BLS certification within 45 days. Nurse Aide in good standing is also required.

Qualifications

• GED/HSED or HS diploma required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications; strong organizational skills.
• Positive interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily patient care under RN supervision (bathing, feeding, hygiene, positioning).
• Document vital signs, intake/output, weights in EMR.
• Support admission/transfer/discharge processes and room setup.
• Explain patient needs to RN and communicate with families.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and proper equipment use.
