Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the ICU unit on the 2nd floor, 32 hours per week with 4 shifts rotating 15:00-23:00, including weekends and holidays. The role supports patients and works under RN supervision.

Qualifications include GED/HSED or high school diploma, BLS certification within 45 days, and Nurse Aide in good standing. Prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• GED or HSED or High School Diploma required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days; Nurse Aide in good standing.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily patient care: bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility.
• Document vitals and inputs/outputs in EMR.
• Conduct rounding and report observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Run errands and manage nursing area supplies.
• Ensure patient positioning and skin care; assist with equipment.
• May assist with IV removal, post-mortem care, bladder scans as needed.
• Adhere to infection prevention and PPE protocols.
• Provide age-appropriate care; adapt for life span.
