Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant for the 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM night shift in the ICU department. The role includes assisting nurses with patient care, documenting in the EMR, and supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Requirements include a GED/HSED or high school diploma, and BLS certification within 45 days, plus Nurse Aide in good standing. Weekend and holiday rotations are expected.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as per State Registry.
• GED/HSED or high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, weights, and other data in EMR accurately.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Assist with patient positioning, mobility, and utilization of transfer equipment.
• Perform tasks related to nutrition, skin care, and basic patient supplies management.
• Coordinate tests and treatments with other departments and maintain communication with care team.
