Job summary

Advocate Health Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Medical/Cardiac ICU. The role is part-time with rotating 12-hour night shifts, totaling 24 hours per week, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include assisting the RN with daily patient care, measuring vital signs, and documenting in the EMR. Requires GED/HSE or high school diploma, BLS within 45 days, and Nurse Aide in good standing.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma or equivalency (HSED).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, mobility).
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Perform rounds and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges under RN supervision.
• Handle patient belongings and maintain equipment and supply areas.
