Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant I for the Intensive Care Unit to provide essential patient care during night shifts. You will assist with admissions, monitor patient conditions, and support nursing staff with routine tasks in a high-acuity environment.

This role emphasizes patient safety, infection control, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. A high school diploma, CNA certification, and NC registration are required, along with BLS certification;

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission of patients to the unit and orient to unit routines.
• Respond to patient needs with direct assistance or by requesting help.
• Carry out delegated patient care tasks and nursing plans of care.
• Maintain patient safety and proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Keep patient environment clean and stocked with necessary items.
• Contribute to cost containment and accurate charging for services.
• Participate in training and Performance Improvement activities.
