Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center seeks an experienced nurse aide to support ICU patients, assisting with daily care, baths, feeding, and mobility while documenting vital signs and intake/output. You will work 36 hours weekly in a night-shift schedule (7pm-7:30am) with 6-12 hour shifts, including every third weekend and holiday rotation.

The role requires a GED or equivalent, BLS within 45 days, and active Nurse Aide credentials.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care and basic activities.
• Participate in admission, transfer and discharge processing.
• Perform patient rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Support nutrition, skin care, and use of TED hose and compression devices.
• Coordinate tests and treatment scheduling with departments using EMR.
