Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU/Critical Care unit to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients during night shifts (5p-5a) on a full-time rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license required.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Completion of a Critical Care Course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care in the ICU using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with the physician and coordinate with care team.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in all actions.
