Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Night shift in Med/Surg on its telemetry unit in Kankakee, IL. You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians, and mentor junior staff in a busy environment.

Requirements include an active State RN License, BLS, ACLS, and preferred BSN or RN-BC certification. Sign-On Bonus up to $10,000 is available and compensation details vary by experience.

Qualifications

• Active state RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be current.
• Ventilator management experience is preferred.
• BSN degree or RN-BC certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry Unit.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient needs and discharge planning.
• Coordinate with physicians and supervise nursing staff on shift.
• Provide patient/family teaching and ensure standards of care.
