Job summary

The RN Complex Care nurse provides direct nursing care to patients and families in a high-acuity ICU setting at Lowell General, part of Tufts Medicine. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following established policies and practices, contributing to quality outcomes.

Role requires MA RN licensure and BLS certification, with department-specific certifications possibly required. Shift is 36 hours, nights (7PM–7AM) including weekends/holidays at Main Campus ICU‑G.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.
• Department-specific certifications may be required.
• Experience guided by level I–IV thresholds.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and maintains awareness of performance improvement initiatives.
• Conducts accurate clinical assessments and documents them.
• Develops and evaluates individualized plans of care.
• Uses nursing judgment to tailor care to patient needs.
• Manages patient assignment and directs care based on skills of the team.
• Assists with discharge planning and family education.
• Precepts and supports new staff; participates in ongoing education.

Massachusetts RN Licensure

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
