Job summary

Tufts Medicine, Lowell General Hospital, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Complex Care role in our Main Campus Operating Room. This full-time position offers day and night shifts to support a 24/7 surgical schedule.

The role focuses on delivering professional nursing care, patient assessments, planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team to meet individualized care goals. Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure required.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Department-specific certifications may be required for patient care.
• Experience level based on Level I–IV as described.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care following physician orders.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients or units.
• Develops and implements individualized care plans with timely documentation.
• Directs patient assignments and delegates tasks based on team capabilities.
• Assists with discharge planning and family education.
• Participates in performance improvement and evidence-based practice.
